| Professional invoices for paper billing or online billing
You have the opportunity to invoice your customers in one of two methods either by paper invoicing with aging or via an online billing system using thresholds. On your billing cycle date, the first of month, you send out an invoice and post the amount paid. The deposit account works a bit differently and is described below. A complete invoice is maintained and the customer may pull that invoice at any time.
Paper Billing
Paper Billing allows you to send an invoice to the customer that is perforated at the bottom of the page, or not, and sent to the customer with line item details like a telco would send. The bottom part is detached or cut and returned in a standard check window envelope. The account is setup as an automatic cutoff if the amounts are not posted or you may age them. If your customer is not doing telephony service from you and only WISP services, you may get an additional add-on module that will send a different bill with additional line items when required without the telephone bill.
All of these transactions are posted with an export utility to QuickBooks to avoid a dual entry.
Online Deposit Account Billing
The deposit account assures that you will not lose money. The deposit account actually allows the customer to maintain a balance in a deposit account that is deducted as the thresholds are reached. A customer is automatically shutoff when they reach a negative balance. You are never at risk for a large loss using the online billing application on nexMatrix.
